This is a six week seminar that explores stories in the Scriptures of people encountering the Lord and how their lives become changed.
Encountering the Lord takes the participant on a journey through various stories in the Gospels and the Book of Acts and shows the relevance of the Bible to daily life. The participant will have the opportunity to grow in expectancy of encountering the Lord as the seminar unfolds. St. John Paul II stated that the foundation of every Catholic life is a personal encounter with the Lord Jesus. He stated that the Church’s assumption is that “Jesus Christ is alive, at work in history and changing lives.” This seminar explores this truth and seeks to lead each participant into an encounter with the risen Lord Jesus. This is the “water of life” that truly satisfies our hearts.
Jesus answered, “If you knew the generosity of God and who I am, you would be asking me for a drink, and I would give you fresh, living water.” John 4:10.
